New family member

As you know we've been struggling a little bit with iPig lately and he's been whining a lot about that he's tired of touring and all the late party's. So after a long talk with him after the tour we came to an agreement that he will retire and spend his last days in life golfing in Florida.
Luckily the Ersdal family has kept in contact with his family since his birth and managed to get hold of a younger cousin of his who was up for the task. He's from the SuperPig breed and I've decided to name him "King".

Yesterday the pig was partying more than ever and when he woke up he was really surprised looking in the mirror. Apparently he got a nose job done some time during the night. We know he's been hanging out with celebrities a lot lately and we think it could have affected him to do this. We still love him but he's been acting really weird lately. We gotta make sure he doesn't turn into a diva.
We make him play black metal the rest of the day to make sure he knows his purpose in life.

I found this girl after the show yesterday who made an earring designed after my bass. Yeah!
Right now we're having a day off in Prague and we're looking forward to the dinner with Rammstein tonight. It's also Nightmare's birthday so I think we will try a few beers.

Ljubljana!

We are so happy about the last couple of days. The first show with Rammstein was great and we decided to have a few more of them. Right now we're having a day off in Ljubljana and we're looking forward to the show in Zagreb tomorrow.

And the tour begins.

Yesterday I woke up at 5:30 in the morning without even an alarm clock. I was eager to pack the rest of my stuff and meet up with the boys.

We took the train down to Gothenburg where the tour kicked off and we had plenty of things to take care of before the gig. 

The show went pretty good even though we haven't played live for 14 months. But before the encore while sitting in the hallway next to the stage, Whiplasher starts to vomit out of exhaustion. He manages to get up on stage anyway to do one more song. Good boy!

Chaos

I've been really busy the last couple of days. On friday I was DJing at Deadhead's Lounge after band-practice. On Saturday we had a release-party for "Greatest Hits on Earth" and a sneak-preview of the video for "Metal". I could only stick around for half an hour cause I was DJing at "This is Halloween". Unfortunately I didn't have time to dress up properly for the Halloween party so I settled with an old favorite, "Skinny bin Laden".


Yesterday we had a hang-over rehearsal and we're all pretty stressed about trying to find time to pack our bags and pay our bills cause there's still a lot of things that needs to be fixed.

F1 celebration

After Jenson Button's great race today we headed out for a perfect pint of beer at Tudor Arms. Which by the way is my dads all-time local bar in Stockholm.

Band practice

Today we had our first rehearsal before the tour. We haven't played the old songs for more than a year and it felt great. Yay!

New song titles revealed

We will release the brand new single „METAL“ on October 14, 2011 via iTunes. This is the song we just shot a video for in Belgrade.

„METAL“ is one of two new songs which will be featured on our upcoming best of compilation „The Greatest Hits On Earth“ which will be released physically and digitally on November 4, 2011 via Nuclear Blast! 

Both new songs showcase the future musical direction of our next album.

After an extremely hectic weekend with lots of work and little sleep we're home again. I can't wait to see how the new video is turning out.
My neck is so stiff from headbanging and the rest of my body hurts from fighting stuntmen.
Anything for the art of rock n' roll right?
Anyway, the video should be done in about 3 weeks.

Brad Paisley at Circus

I know you're probably sick and tired of my obsession with country music but I just gotta post something for myself.

I've been waiting for this concert since we got the tickets in April and I haven't been looking forward to something this much in a very long time. 

Darius Rucker (ex-Hootie and the Blowfish) opened up the night with a great set. He's got such an amazing voice and really included the whole crowd.

When Brad entered the stage he just took it to the climax immediately. For two hours I stood paralyzed, singing along and I just never wanted it to end.

Since I started playing pedal steel a few years back I was very glad to get the chance and hang out with Brad's steelplayer Randle Currie. He gave me a lot of good tips and tricks and I hope to see all the guys soon again.
