Christmas kills

After spending my holidays in Flekkefjord where I got fed to the brink of extension I got on the bus to Karlstad where we played yesterday.
I arrived an hour before show and when I walked into the dressingroom Whip had already poured me a cocktail. Cat gave me a Tshirt and a CD from Vain so I concluded that the christmas spirit was also spread into the little boys of Deathstars.
Now we're on our way back to Stockholm and we're just a little bit knocked out.

Party People

Me, Espen and Jeanette at Stravinsky yesterday night. The first evidence of what actually happened yesterday. Now we're back in Stockholm again after a bumpy flight home. Jeanette managed to faint in the security check and was rolled up by medical assistants to the gate in a wheelchair. Now she feels much better and we also managed to pop by a little girls 5 year birthday party. Dinner time!

Ooops!

Yesterday we were literally swimming in alcohol. Everything from JĂ€germeister and Champagne to beer and vodka was fighting to fit into my stomach.
Things got a bit blurry throughout the night and when we woke up this morning I found a big pool of pee all over the wall, floor and some of my clothes. The only anguish relief is that it's not my hotel room.

Crescendolls Live

Today I was very happy at work. I was doing sound for Crescendolls at Mosebacke. And as some of you know, the drummer Oscar "Thunder DeLaRenta" Leander helped us out on our final shows this year when Bone's arm got injured. This band is insanely good. Check them out.

R.I.P. Spongebob

Today me and Jeanette decided to clean up my attic.
We've thrown away most of my past life. Everything felt good until we found my old friend Spongebob.
Even though he's been a big part of me we decided to put him to rest :(
I have to learn how to live without him now.

Broken Bone

Due to a severe case of "tennis elbow" (caused by tennis for sure) Bone is forced to leave the ongoing Into Darkness Festival to give his arm some rest after this years extensive touring. Yesterday in Frankfurt we unfortunately had to shorten the set because of Bone being physically unable to perform any longer. We apologise for the shortened set time but the only other option would have been to cancel the show completely. Still Bone deserves an applause for performing these 45 minutes in severe pain just for all the people who were there.

The tour will however go on, we have flown in our old friend Oscar (Thunder) de la Renta from the band Crescendolls that helped us out at a few shows a couple of years ago. We will spend the whole day rehearsing with Oscar to make sure we can give everybody the best show possible tonight. Bone is sticking around for a few extra days just to make sure that Oscar will deliver the goods to his satisfaction before he will go back to Sweden.

CHAOS

Bone has had some troubles with his arm while playing drums lately.
This morning it was worse than ever so he left to check up on the arm at the hospital.
He found out that it's a severe case of tennis elbow and the doctor called him an idiot for still playing drums.
Now we're looking for a replacement for the rest of the tour.
Bad luck is something we don't lack.

White Ibanez Jetking

Yesterday my friend Mick from Ibanez showed up with a new baby for me.
It's a white Ibanez Jetking, actually the first ever made.
I was gladly surprised that the sound is even better than on the black I have.

Starstruck

Yesterday we didn't have any big technical problems which was nice.
And after the show we got company from one of my youth heroes Mr Davy Vain from the band Vain.
After a bottle of tequila we managed to get thrown out of the club.
That was actually a good thing cause I'm enough hungover today anyway.

Bomb threat

As some of you know we started the "Into Darkness Tour" yesterday. The first show was in Bochum, Germany where we've been many times before.
What we didn't expect was that 1 hour before doors the venue got a bomb threat, or actually two.
The german police evacuated the place and brought in dogs and the bombsquad.
Luckily they didn't find anything suspicious and we weren't affected more than that we had to shorten the set and delay it a bit.
Unlucky as we sometimes are, we also had some technical problems with our backtracks during the show so things got a bit weird.

Sometimes the shit hits the fan and you can't do anything about it. (Don't read that literally... hehe).

Give it a shot

After last night's wild adventures I've been struggeling with a terrible hangover. I'm not the guy that back down that easy so I decided to open one of my finest bottles of bubble. Now all I can do is to wait and see if party-Skinny comes tapping on my shoulder.

End of game

It was really cool to see a good game of hockey. St Louis won by 4-3.

NHL

Watching my first ever NHL game. Strange thing is it's in Sweden. Detroit Red Wings VS St Louis Blues. The score right now is 2-1 to Red Wings in the first period.

Summary of our trip to Oz

Back in cold Scandinavia again it's not strange you are longing back to the land down under.
I could do without the long flights but the rest was amazing.
Friendly people everywhere
with great hospitality, professional promotors and crew, amazing crowd, mostly good weather and I really enjoyed the Australian beer. Last but not least we got to see something really incredible, the duststorm that rolled in over Sydney on Wednesday morning. Someone told me that this was very rare and haven't happened since 1939.

The only thing that was really annoying me as a pedestrian was that it took a lifetime to cross a street because of the red lights. I guess that if you don't drive a car you are at the bottom of society in this part of the world ;-)

Can't wait to go back Next time I'll make sure too have even more days off before the first show to get rid of jetlag and do more sightseeing.

Australian Tattoo

Yesterday evening we were invited to a barbeque at Sammy & Matt's house.
We got really nice food and beers.

So after petting a kangaroo, eating kangaroo sausages, having a last name that sounds like kangaroo I had no other option than visiting my friends at Platinum Ink to make a kangaroo-tattoo.
I would like to thank Jo and Jane for this beautiful beast.

Finally in Sydney

After 3 very long flights with stops in Frankfurt, Singapore and finally Sydney we arrived at the hotel at 6 AM this morning (local time). Unfortunately we couldn't check in by that time so we left the luggage and went out sightseeing.
Skinny, Bone and Nightmare went to see the Opera house and the Zoo, Cat went out fishing and according to rumors, Whip has been sleeping all day.

It's about time

to board the plane. Let's go to Singapore!

Killing time

4 rock n' rollers at Hahn (Solo) airport in Frankfurt. No problem for these guys. They know how to entertain themselves.

This is the start of our journey

Now we're taking off from Stockholm Arlanda with first destination Frankfurt.
